Our Story

Arkose Labs’ innovative approach to fighting fraud was inspired by bringing together Kevin Gosschalk’s expertise in interactive machine vision technology with experience in video game development. The founder recognized the potential of applying dynamic, user-friendly puzzles in the authentication process and from this developed a comprehensive platform that combined sophisticated risk-based profiling with targeted challenges.

He quickly grew the team and established a business with global operations with bases in San Francisco, California, Brisbane, Australia, London, the UK, and Costa Rica. The company enjoys rapid momentum and has raised capital plus strategic investment from PayPal, M12 (Microsoft’s venture fund), USVP, SoftBank Vision Fund 2*, and Sony Innovation Fund. It is amassing a customer list featuring household brands and Fortune 100 companies.

Arkose Labs was ranked 195 on the prestigious Inc 5000 list and made to the list in both 2021 and 2022. We’ve been honored by G2, a customer review platform, as the number one bot management firm and consecutively ranked as a leader in enterprise fraud management. Fast Company tapped us as the Next Big Thing in Data and AI when it comes to spoiling fraudsters. And Deloitte ranked us on its Fast500 list as the 83rd fastest growing company in all of North America.
